Oh, The Music We Love

Music is all around us. There’s no way to avoid it.
In order to get to know you guys a bit more,
I have some questions for you:

1. What types of music do you enjoy?
2. What are you favorite bands/albums?
3. Are in a band? (If yes, link us!)
4. What artist do you absolutely despise?
5. Britney - Bald or Not?

1 - I enjoy most types of music, but especially indie and electro and even a bit of country but I’m pretty pleased we don’t get that much of it in the UK

2 - My current favourites are The Wombats, The Noisettes, Bloc Party, Jamie T, Friends of the Bride, Cjaun Danec Party, Voxtrot, Justice and Simian Mobile Disco

3 - Not at the moment, but I am a classically trained drummer by trade. I am currently a music blogger (The Blue Walrus) and am playing with the idea of starting a label (Primitive Records)

4 - I actually don’t mind a good bit of fun pop, but I hate it when they claim to being talented/independent/offerring anything new, because that is just lying. So I hate people like Maroon 5 and their ilk. I also hate artists/bands that make music just because they’re famous - think Fergie, Linsay Lohan, Hillary Duff, etc…

5 - Call me old fashioned, but I prefer a girl with hair but as Zach said she lost her attractiveness wwwaaaaaaaayyyyy before that.

  4. primitive

    1) I have pretty eclectic tastes - so everything from twee indie to dirty electro is great as far as I’m concerned. A little bit of pop now and then doesn’t do any harm either ;)
    2) On heavy rotation at the moment are The Wombats, Jamie T, Klaxons, Voxtrot, Laura Marling, Hot Chip, Justice and Simian Mobile Disco amongst some others.

    3) I’m bandless at the moment, but I do run a music promotion blog (The Blue Walrus) and am dipping my toe in the water of starting a label (Primitive Records)

    4) Any pop band/star that tries to claim any musical legitimacy (Pop when it knows its pop can be fun). So that’s everyone from Pop Idol/American Idol, etc.

    5) Definitely not bald although as Zach said she hasn’t been hot for a while.
