Hey Digg, where did Ron Paul go?
Okay, so I need to start out by saying I’m not your typical blogger by any stretch. I never blog. I never seem to have the time because I’m always slaving away behind the screen. But something that’s been going on lately has prompted me to actually get off my ass and blog. First, let me start this off by giving you a little background. There’s this website, called digg.com, and if you haven’t heard of it, this article is probably not for you. Anyways, I visit this website to read up on news semi-regularly, and over the last few months, I was getting really excited about how many articles there were about Ron Paul. He was literally splattered all over Digg, most of you know what I’m talking about. I must admit that even though I’m a big fan of Ron Paul, I was even a little annoyed at how many articles there were. But this was really firing me up about the candidate I was the most interested in. I was reading lots of articles, watching lots of videos, and at least to me, there was a very real sense of momentum and movement. I was starting to believe that there was hope for this candidate. He was raising tons of money, setting fund raising records, and lots of people were praising him all over the place. I was convinced through all of this there was a very real grass roots uprising behind him. And so much of it could be found on Digg. Digg was the website where I was guaranteed to keep up with the latest happenings of Ron Paul.
And then came the caucus’s and primaries. And the more votes for the other candidates we all saw, the fewer the articles on Ron Paul on Digg. I really started noticing fewer and fewer articles about Dr. Paul making it to the Digg homepage. So, this has really moved me. So much so that I had to actually sit down, and make myself blog.
And I have one basic though for all you Ron Paul Diggers….why are you stopping? I have to ask, are we giving up? Have we lost hope because of the polls? What’s going on? These are just a few early voting polls designed to “weed out” the candidates that don’t have a shot. And because they aren’t turning out quite the way we’d all hope they would, all of the sudden it feels as if the Ron Paul Revolution has died. And this is the exact time when it shouldn’t be. This is the time to rise up, not fall down? Hello? Can anyone hear me on this?
Is the dream over already?
So, I hope this article actually makes it to Digg, and sparks some thought in all of you passionate Ron Pauler’s out there. Don’t quit now, keep going, keep spreading the word. Don’t get discouraged! The war is not over. Now is the time to make our voices heard!!!!!
And there we have it, there is my blog post.
Digg censors articles related to ron paul and it openly admits in censors articles form sites such as truthnews.com
So yes I pretty much gave up doing a lot of digging. I’d see too many good articles with 1000 diggs that would still be ranked far behind a 200 digg article talking about Barack Obama or Rudy Guliani. My efforts are now focused on burning dvd’s of terrorstorm and handing them out. Operation Northwoods happened, the people who thought of it were rewarded with good gigs with Ford and Nixon…they worked with Paul Wolfowitz…still no government explanation of how Building 7 fell…why the government told investigators to stop persuing leads withint he Bin Laden family etc.
I want lower taxes and a peaceful foreign policy. If you want it to then you better wake up start spreading the word. We are in a infowar.
The longer Ron Paul can shove the bitter truth in the other candidates faces, the harder it will be to respond with rhetoric instead of real ideas. The longer RP can hang in there the better the chances that real issues will come to the forefront of intelligent discussion.
