How to install WordPress using Softaculous

To install WordPress using Softaculous, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to your hosting account’s control panel.
  2. Look for the Softaculous Apps Installer section and click on the Softaculous icon.
  3. Once Softaculous opens, find the WordPress icon and click on it. This will take you to the WordPress installation page.
  4. Click on the “Install Now” button to start the installation process.

Now, you’ll need to fill in the necessary details for your WordPress installation:

  1. Choose the protocol that you want to use, either “http://” or “https://”. Typically, you should select “http://” unless you have an SSL certificate installed.
  2. Select the domain name where you want to install WordPress. If you have multiple domain names, choose the one where you want to install WordPress.
  3. Leave the “In Directory” field empty if you want WordPress installed in the root directory. If you want to install it in a subdirectory (e.g., example.com/blog), enter the subdirectory’s name.
  4. Fill in the Site Settings. Enter your desired Site Name and Site Description. These can be changed later in the WordPress admin area.
  5. Set an Admin Username and Password for your WordPress login credentials. Use a strong password to ensure security.
  6. You can customize the language, plugins, and theme options if desired. Softaculous will select a default language, but you can change it to your preferred language.
  7. Under the “Advanced Options,” you can modify the database name, table prefix, and other settings. It’s recommended to leave these options as default unless you have specific requirements.
  8. Once you’ve filled in all the necessary details, click the “Install” button to begin the installation process.

Softaculous will install WordPress on your server, create a database, and configure the necessary files automatically. After the installation completes, you will see a confirmation message with your WordPress login credentials.

Make sure to note down your admin URL, username, and password as you’ll need them to sign in to your WordPress dashboard.

That’s it! You have successfully installed WordPress using Softaculous. You can now access your WordPress website by visiting the provided admin URL and logging in with your credentials. If you need WordPress hosting see our available hosting plans.
