A few weeks back, leading billing platform WHMCS announced that they are discontinuing their distributor program. I just wanted to take a few minutes to explain what this actually means, and why it will not be affecting eleven2 customers. The WHMCS distributor program allows software distributors to sell the WHMCS software, at major discounted prices to the public.
The reason why this doesn’t affect any eleven2 customers, is that eleven2 is a hosting provider, and therefore we are a “reseller” of the WHMCS billing software. We bundle WHMCS with all our reseller plans, and offer the unbranded licence for a flat rate of $5 per month. The WHMCS reseller program is unaffected, and remains running as usual.
